Our Mission
Senior Source was founded in 2010 by Brad Ruder, the founder and president of a local construction and property management company. A community-minded individual with an appreciation for seniors, he utilized the cozy space next to his office in an unusual location- a shopping mall- to create a novel entity. Senior Source became a destination where seniors could enjoy a warm and inviting lounge, engage in activities and obtain resources on a range of topics including health, fitness, finance, insurance, housing and more. Information was provided by local businesses and community organizations.
In 2017, Ruder created Humanism in Building, a non-profit 501 (c ) (3) organization to fulfill his desire of using construction to help improve the lives of those in the community. Senior Source now falls under the umbrella of this non-profit.
Senior Source continues to thrive by providing a hub for both seniors and their supporters. Resources, networking opportunities. and a wide-range of engaging activities are provided to family members, caregivers and community organizations all with the goal of supporting seniors and helping them flourish.
